The Wellington 500 Campaign
UPDATE: We have now completed the Wellington 500. Our total count was 502 with donations being split between the Wellington City Mission, Downtown Community Mission, and the Johnsonville Food Bank.
Thank you you to all who helped us achieve our goal of supporting our neighbours and city this year!

Could it really be that Wellingtonians from all walks of life, living in the capital city of New Zealand, are struggling to buy enough food for their families? That’s crazy!
The sad thing is, it is crazy but it is true and it is not just people who are on the poverty-line either. In the city that serves as the political and culture center of our nation, and which has the highest average income earners in the country, we have neighbours who are struggling to find the means to feed their families and themselves. People are finding the times extremely tough as day-to-day costs like milk and petrol increase significantly and as the economy remains stagnant.
