redcross-join-serveThis event has been postponed.

Thanks to all of you for expressing an interest in helping the New Zealand Red Cross out!

Unfortunately it turns out that Watchmen is not such a great fit for us as a vehicle to get behind the New Zealand Red Cross.

Due to the level of brutal violence presented in the film, we have come to the conclusion that both Red Cross and Mosaic could be better represented by a different film. The Watchmen film does have its merits, however its not the best fit for this project.
We have decided to postpone the fundraiser until another film has been selected.

We are now looking to the future and the films coming out soon to take another go at raising some much needed funds for New Zealand Red Cross and we hope to engage with you on the choice of film.

Thanks heaps for your support, we will keep you up-to-date with any other changes.

Mosaic is hosting a charity screening of “Watchmen” to raise money for New Zealand Red Cross. New Zealand Red Cross is part of the largest humanitarian organisation in the world, helping people wherever they might be - internationally or in our own communities. Mosaic want to get behind them and encourage Kiwis to buy a ticket to a movie, enjoy a night out, and best of all, give to those in need.  If we sell all the tickets to the private screening we will make $1000 to give to an organisation that truly tries to save the world every day. 123 equals 1000.

An adaptation of Alan Moore’s landmark comic book series, Watchmen is a story set in an alternative 1985, where the world is ticking closer to the brink of nuclear war, and a plot to eliminate a band of ex-crimefighters is instigated. Early reviews are calling it a breathtaking yet brutal take on the graphic novel, “the amazing cinematic achievement we have been waiting for . . . since, well, “The Dark Knight!”. Watchmen is not a story for kids, it is definitely R16, so please do not buy a ticket for anyone under this age.

The screening begins at 8:15pm (seating from 8pm), Sunday 15 March, Reading Cinemas Courtenay Central. Contact Adam (mosaicwgtn@gmail.com) to arrange ticket purchase and pickup.
Tickets cost $19.00.

So round up your mates and commit to a great night out for a great cause. If we sell more that 123 tickets they will give us a larger cinema, so go hard!
